Our Fleet

The Equipment Behind the Work

Tractors, skid steers, mowers, trucks, plows and attachments owned and operated by KBK Landscaping Inc. out of Saline, Michigan.

Owning the fleet is a practical decision rather than a boast. A contractor who rents by the day schedules the job around equipment availability; a contractor who owns schedules around the weather and the client. On a commercial snow contract that difference is the entire service, and in a wet Michigan spring it is the reason a grading job happens in the two dry days rather than three weeks later.

The fleet covers the range of work KBK takes on: commercial mowing equipment sized for large-acreage properties, tractors and brush equipment for field mowing and lot clearing, skid steers and excavation gear for grading, drainage and hardscape base work, trucks and trailers for material haulage, and the plows, blowers and salt spreaders that run through the winter.

Right-Sized Machines for the Site

Having a range of machines matters as much as having big ones. A large loader is the wrong tool in a tight commercial quadrant with islands and parked cars, and a small skid steer is the wrong tool on twenty acres of field mowing. Matching the machine to the site is what keeps turf undamaged, surfaces uncracked and timelines realistic — and it is a normal part of scoping a job at the assessment stage.

Equipment is maintained in-house and staged for the season ahead, which is why snow crews can be dispatched off a forecast instead of scrambling when it starts. Roughly 25 staff run this fleet across residential, commercial and municipal work throughout Washtenaw County and Southeast Michigan.
